for his role as

Frankie Valli in

'JERSEY BOYS'

at the Prince Edward Theatre

Old Compton St, London W1

Actor/singer RYAN MOLLOY won Best Actor In A Musical at the whatsonstage awards held at the Prince Edward Theatre in February for his outstanding performance as Frankie Valli in the hit West End production of JERSEY BOYS.  Jersey Boys has also just won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical and has now racked up no less than 15 awards.  Playing to full houses every night the show opened in March 2008 to an avalanche of great reviews which led to a stampede at the box office.

“We’re all extremely proud of Jersey Boys," says RYAN "and the fact that we've won these awards means a lot to us.  We're all having such a ball in this show - we love it and I'm so proud to be have been in it from day one."

RYAN MOLLOY has already packed a lot into his career; Steve Strange in Taboo, MC Flash then Tremonte/Gabrielle in Jerry Springer The Opera for which he shared the Best Supporting Olivier, Ozzie in On The Town at the Colisseum...and he's even sung with Frankie Goes To Hollywood as lead singer for a special charity show for the Prince's Trust and on their subsequent tour.  In 2006 he starred in the touring production of Ben Elton's Rod Stewart musical, Tonight's The Night and in 2007 went into the revival of the ENO/Jude Kelly production of On The Town at the Colisseum.

JERSEY BOYS opened to rave reviews in March 2008 and has been playing to packed houses ever since.  Ryan is about to go into the studio to record a solo album of Frankie Valli tunes and some of his own compositions.
