Michel Legrand has composed over 200 film and TV scores, won 3 Oscars (out of 13 nominations), recorded over 100 albums, won 5 Grammys and has been nominated for an Emmy. Legrand was twenty-two when his first album, I Love Paris, became one of the best-selling instrumental albums ever released. He is a virtuoso jazz and classical pianist and an accomplished arranger and conductor who performs with orchestras all over the world. Between the ages of 11 and 20 he studied at the Paris Conservatoire, graduating with top honours as both composer and pianist.
In February 2009 Michel Legrand will tour the UK with his special guest, ALISON MOYET, on vocals.
