Michael
Ball is currently fronting his own show on ITV 1 - the Olivier
Award winning musical theatre star is hosting The Michael
Ball Show every weekday over the summer in which he will interview
celebrities as well as rising talent.
The
show is a topical mix of entertainment, discussion and glamour
with the occasional musical treat thrown in by Michael himself.
He will also be cooking for a member of the public each day.
"I love cooking and I really think food helps people
talk better. It's my idea, as you might have guessed!
I'm quite good in the kitchen but I want to learn more - I'm
also thinking of throwing in a bit of wine tasting, so watch
this space!"
The
multi-tasking star - award-winning actor, platinum recording
artist, host of his own BBC Radio 2 show and TV chat show
host, has also been packing theatres around the country in
the UK tour of HAIRSPRAY; from December 14th
2010 to January 9th 2011, the enormously successful show will
be in residence at Edinburgh's Playhouse Theatre and Michael
will be joined by ex-Monkee Micky Dolenz as Wilbur Turnblad.
Michael's
West End credits include Marius in Cameron Mackintosh and
the RSC's production of Les Miserables, Raoul in Andrew Lloyd
Webber's Phantom of the Opera, Alex in Lloyd Webber's Aspects
of Love (and on Broadway), Giorgio in Stephen Sondheim's musical
Passion, his award winning Count Fosco in Andrew Lloyd Webber's
Woman In White (and on Broadway) and the Olivier Award winning
Edna Turnblad in the smash West End production of Hairspray.
