LUDLOW FESTIVAL ’07

'THE COMEDY OF ERRORS' directed by Glen Walford June 23rd-July 7th

Glen Walford, the prolific theatre director who directed last year's hugely successful 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' for the Ludlow Festival, returns this year, by popular demand, to direct 'The Comedy of Errors', Shakespeare's shortest and possibly funniest play.  Staged in the beautiful grounds of ancient Ludlow Castle Open Air Theatre from June 23rd to July 7th, 'The Comedy of Errors', written between 1592-4 will have audiences amused, bemused, confused...but entertained at all times.

"Audiences at Ludlow Castle love to be 'in on the act'," says Glen, who recently returned from Barbados where she directed Noel Coward's 'Blithe Spirit' for the newly formed Gale Theatre Company.  "'The Comedy of Errors' is a fabulously preposterous, near farce plot which relies completely on chance and luck...the audience will often know what's happening before the characters do so it'll add to the play's enormous entertainment value."
