Charlie
Siem is a young British violinist whose easy style belies
a virtuosity that has already catapulted him onto the international
stage. This fast rising star, just two years after graduating,
has performed variously at the Carnegie Hall in New York City,
onstage in Cuba with the Royal Ballet, at the Royal Albert
Hall with Bryan Adams and with the Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra,
the RPO, at the Bergen Festival in Norway and many more.
In October he will be one of the star names on the annual
NIGHT OF THE PROMS European tour which kicks off in Belgium
on October 22nd before travelling through Holland and Germany
where it finishes on December 18th.
2010
started in a typically auspicious way when Charlie was invited
to perform as special guest at the 20th anniversary of Raymond
Gubbay's Classical Spectacular concerts at the Royal Albert
Hall; he also toured for the first time with the Czech National
Symphony Orchestra on their UK tour; conducted by Libor Pesek,
Charlie and the Orchestra performed Bruch's popular Violin
Concerto No 1 in G Minor and Dvorak's Violin Concerto in A
Minor.
Charlie's
currently preparing to record a new cd which will be released
later this year.
