The award winning Rosie Kay is a critically acclaimed choreographer, witty director of intense, theatrical work and an elegant, striking performer. Artistic Director of her own company she made her debut at the Edinburgh Festival in 1999 with Absolute Solo since when she has been a regular with shows such as Honey You’re A Pig and her ever popular 5 star dance-theatre production Wild Party.
Winner of the Bonnie Bird New UK Choreography Award 2003, Rosie formed her own company in 2004 and performed Asylum in Dance Umbrella in 2006. She was awarded the Rayne Foundation Fellowship for choreographers in 2007 and worked with the late film director, Anthony Minghella on his TV film, ‘The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency’ in Botswana.
Rosie is an Associate Artist at DanceXchange, Birmingham, where her company is based and where her outstanding duet, DoublePoints:K, premiered.
